Apple Music Event

Today apple unveiled all its new devices. Among those were an iPod touch with an A4 chip, a front facing camera and a back camera, and a slim design, There was the new iPod nano which eliminated the click wheel for a 3cm by 3cm touch screen. Lastly in the iPod line was a new iPod shuffle with buttons again much like the 2nd gen. Also, there was a new apple TV four times smaller with better streaming. An upcoming 4.1.0 (4.2.0 for iPad) iOS update with tons of new features including gamecenter, fixed bugs, and a better camera. Lastly, an iTunes update with a new logo, ping, and Video renting.

Upcoming Apple Event

Several people are waiting for this year's Apple Music Event this September. Rumors are that they will be unveiling a new 3 cm by 3 cm screen iPod nano but will still keep the 30-Pin connector and headphone jack. Also expected will be a new iPod touch with a camera. There is some speculation whether or not the iPod touch will have a front facing camera or if it will adopt the new iPhone 4's design. It is also possible for the iPod touch to have an optional iPad like 3G option.

Switching OS's Patent

Patently Apple just recently confirmed a patent made by Apple this January in Europe. It was filed under Switching OS's. The Patent shows how an iMac and a MacBook could switch from OS X to iOS. The iMac would be on a swivel base and once tilted to a certain angle it would switch to iOS. Then the MacBook would have a swiveling screen that closes and leaves the screen exposed to use iOS. This would allow you to have your computer one minute and a huge iPad the next.
